Baby Daisy has now celebrated her one month birthday… a double milestone as she was born a month early!
Big sister Coco is a wonderful help, she likes to sing and rock her sister (vigorously) to sleep. We keep a close eye on the situation
Now we just need to figure out how to convince Daisy that night times are for sleeping… her clock is completely backwards.
Any suggestions are welcome!

Congrats Wendy on your beautiful little angel. I had to giggle when said that you wanted people to make suggestions on how to change her sleeping habits. Last December I had a newborn (Marley) and had the same problem. I was getting pretty stressed out about it, as she would sleep soundly during the day and be up ready to play at night. I was getting pretty frustrated and my 94 year old grandmother basically told me to suck it up because that was just the way things were going to be until she got her schedule figured out. Now before I had little Marley I NEVER watched TV, so I thought o.k. I’m going to start watching T.V. At 6 am when i would be surfing the channels i would stumble across BT. Little Marley and I soon became attached to each and every one of you…… Asha and Michele with their “Single Ladies” dance, Bridget and her fun loving attitude towards life and Ryan and yourself the anchors of my morning! So my advice is to “Channel Surf” while you are up with the baby at night, you will never know what you may stumble across. Keep the pics. coming!

September 16th, 2009 at 5:46 amCongratz Wendy & Family she is very beautiful. I found that Johnson’s bedtime bath and lotion with my son worked wonders. He is now 3 and it still works.

September 16th, 2009 at 9:06 amWendy I have no suggestions, as I feel every situation is different. I just wanted to say congrats to your family. Your daughters are sooo beautiful!! take care
September 16th, 2009 at 9:09 amLadies: Thank You!
September 17th, 2009 at 9:07 amWe played “sing to the baby” all day, then had a warm bath with lotion and THEN tacked up a blackout curtain… and we actually had a three and a half hour stretch of sleep last night! I feel like a new woman today!
I have no idea which one of those things did it, and I am not even going to try and find out. xo
I think the blackend out room and the lotion bath work well. Or we used to put them in their car seat and put them in a dark closet and shut the door. Then when fully asleep, put them in their bed. Complete darkness raises saratonin in the brain which is the sleep “thingy”. Good luck. I miss you on the show so much. But enjoy this special time with the little ones. They gropw up too fast.
October 1st, 2009 at 9:37 amI hear ya. Make night changings and feedings very uneventful. eg. Low light, no talking, quick changes and back to bed immediately. It worked for me anyhow, good luck!
October 8th, 2009 at 7:48 amCongratulations Wendy your girls are beautiful. I loved watching you everymorning on BT I was pregnant at the same time you were me and my husband actually had an arguement because one morning I sad you were pregnant and he said you were not. I guess I won the arguement. LOL! My mother in law would always compare the two of us and which one was bigger she always said you were going to have a girl. I ended up having a girl to at the Royal Alexandra Hospital on Aug 4. I also have a two year old daughter as well she has not locked herself in the bathroom yet but I’m sure it will happen one day. As for the new little one she had her nights and days mixed up at the begining but it fixed its self then she became colicky what a nightmare no sleep what so ever and that’s supposed to last three months its getting better but we still have our bad days.
I’m hanging in there its so overwhelming sometimes though thank goodness for family that is very helpful without them I don’t know what I would do. Keep up the updates congrats again our girls are so much fun.
take care

Congrats Wendy, we sure miss you on BT.
What worked for me was to take Dawson out during the day time and the night time routine was always a nice bath a good feed then bed. Again routine…. i can’t say that word too much. kids NEED it. If you keep with that she will flip her day/night back to normal.
Good luck
