My wife Kari grew up dreaming of competing as a figure skater in the Olympics. Anytime Canada’s top skaters compete, she studies their every stride.
I, like every Canadian boy, continue to dream of a late call-up to the NHL. When Team Canada plays in international competition, I drop everything to watch.
So when Canadian skaters Vaughn Chipeur and Patrick Chan took to the ice at the same time Team Canada battled Norway in Vancouver on Wednesday evening, we had to find a way to keep everybody happy.
I think we did alright:


Innovative solution. Of course, it helps that during the Olympics the normal rules of sanity are suspended.
