Waiiiiiiiiiit a second. He wasn’t supposed to be sent home this early. After all, former pro footballer Ryan Bowers was “one of the best-looking men” Emily Maynard had ever seen! He had “several God-given abilities” (his words) and one of the healthiest egos viewers of The Bachelorette (Mondays, 9pm, OMNI) have ever seen. So why didn’t the first contestant to receive first and second one-on-one dates with Emily earn a rose during this week’s episode?

As per usual, our BT Bachelorette panel had no shortage of opinions Tuesday morning just after the 8am news on Breakfast Television. Check out the video link below for Katy, Trevor and Carla’s take on what went wrong for Ryan.

Those who weren’t surprised by Ryan’s exit may still have been shocked by a couple other developments while Emily and her suitors enjoyed beautiful Croatia. Who saw Chris winning the Bravery Cup after what can only be described as a disgraceful performance at the highland games? Who can say they predicted every man to attend the rose ceremony would be presented with petals (and a ticket to proceed to Prague)?

We can only assume Emily will look to eliminate at least two bachelors next Monday night. Do you think John and/or Doug will be on that list? We’re also expecting to learn more about Ari’s former relationship with a producer who worked closely with Emily throughout the taping of the show.
