I’m starting to distrust television promos. I mean, “Most Dramatic Bachelor Finale Ever?” Come on now.

Bloggers everywhere earned “Told ya so” points when Ben Flajnik handed Courtney Robertson the final rose on Monday night’s finale of The Bachelor…but where was the drama? The worst-kept secret in recent reality TV memory gave millions of fans reason to question Ben’s sanity, even his motives, but the predictable proposal failed to give so many what they wanted – a chance to see the Most Evil Competitor Ever sent home in tears, paying the price for so many party fouls against her fellow bachelorettes earlier in the season.

Perhaps the real drama is yet to come. Allegations of cheating are chasing Ben around, despite his denial (on his father’s grave, no less) on national TV. On the follow-up “After the Final Rose” show, we learned Ben and Courtney actually broke up for a short while once the early episodes shed some light on her “other side.” Will the two marry? Or will Ben go “O for 2″ for his Bachelor/ette career? We’ll no doubt hear more about these two in months to come.
