It’s one of the most bitter rivalries in all of Central Alberta. For years, the Red Deer Jets and Red Deer Pylons have fought for civic supremacy on the ice. But there’s one thing (and one thing only) that brings these two hockey clubs together with a common goal this time every year — the Movember Classic.
Before puck drop on Wednesday night at Red Deer’s Enmax Centrium, the Jets and Pylons came together to observe Movember, a month of moustache growing to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer research. You can catch the full game recap (a 4-0 Jets win) at www.reddeerjets.com.
