Happy Chinese New Year!

What a colourful morning! We celebrated Chinese New Year with dozens of our friends in studio, each sharing a form of Chinese culture. From the Little Lions Dance and Happy Drummers by students at Meyonohk Elementary School, calligraphy and Chinese painting by students at Meadowlark Elementary and Parkview Junior High Schools or an awe-inspiring Chinese musical instrument ensemble comprised of students from Caernarvon Elementary School, our studio was awash with the sights and sounds of Asia!

Sergio Turlione got adventurous in the kitchen, offering up an Italian/Chinese fusion dish – Lo Mien. Delicious as always! We were sure to acknowlege our Australian friends, as January 26th doubles as Australia Day. Maybe that’s why Sergio was sure to include prawns in his creation!

Add in some cultural insight from Omni Television producer Paul Chung, a viewer make-over by our friends at Perugia Salon & Spa, and bang-on news/weather/traffic from Asha and Michele, along with Bridget’s ongoing adventures in Jasper (human foosball!), and you’ve got a great way to kick off the work week on Breakfast Television!
