Pat shows us Maligne Canyon BEFORE and AFTER. -She also shows us her sense of humour. I received the picture of the thundering waterfall first. I fired her an email mentioning good thing she didn’t lean over too far & fall in. Response: “no chance of falling in, the railing is too high & I am too short“.
Next, she sends me the picture of the snow covered waterfall with the explanation that when she started the hike it was winter … but it took her so long to complete the tour, spring had sprung when she finished! No worries Pat – you probably would have passed me along the way!

DID YOU KNOW? Maligne Canyon is just minutes from downtown Jasper. There are 6 bridges along the tour – open year round. Plan for about 1 hour one way. Please make sure you wear shoes with treads. Much of the walk is on rather smooth rock that, in summer, wet or dry, can be a little slippery. & In winter it very very slippery.
