Old vs New - Panama City
Incredible contrast here with the ‘old world’ boats against the new world skyscrapers. This is George’s share from South America: “Have a look at one of my favorites from last winter. I spent some time in Panama with my daughter. This is a view of the modern downtown from the “Casco Viejo”, the old – colonial part of town”.
DID YOU KNOW? Imagine 493 years ago (wow!) when Panama was one of the most important trade routes in existance … not all of it ‘friendly trade’. A walled city was built to protect people and today - there are still some original building structures for tourists to marvel at. UNESCO designated the area a World Heritage Site.
