Perfectly disguised is this squirrel, taking a sip — maybe even a dip! This little guy is a genius for finding such swanky surroundings at the U of A. Estella,…one smart cookie herself, thought we needed to see this scene of serenity … and for that we are grateful!
Estella could earn a living taking pictures. There is a small fountain and pond between the Arts building and the Hub mall on the campus. This is Estella’s lunch hour escape on nice days — and this particular day was June 2nd.
DID YOU KNOW? The squirrel’s nest is called a DREY. They have a wide range of calls, but communicate mainly through their tails, using them as a signalling device. A twitch of their tail means they are uneasy or suspicious. Squirrels identify each other, and their food — by smell.
Don’t squirrel away your time! Spend some of it by snapping and sending us your Fresh Air Photo(s). & we — and you, will see it on tv!
