Moment of reflection

WOW.    Jorg was behind the lens and is behind the capture of this magical moment.    His view that one Monday evening gives us the High Level Bridge, the priceless painting of the sky, and one of Edmonton’s dearest modes of transportation - The Streetcar.    I repeat WOW.

DID YOU KNOW?    Back in 1908 the very first streetcar rode over the North Saskatchewan River on the High Level Bridge.    At that time it was part of the Edmonton Radial Railway and was famous because the ride over the river was one of the highest river crossings by streetcar in the world.    Even today – you too can ride the rails over the river!    The High Level Bridge Streetcar operates from the May long weekend and continues to the October Thanksgiving weekend.    Get to know the awesome army of volunteers who helped restore the Radial Railway:  http://www.edmonton-radial-railway.ab.ca/
