Little Boreal buddy

Little Boreal buddy

Boreal Chickadee – not as common as the Black-Capped Chickadee.    We thank Murray for:  the photo, for providing such a delicious and tempting buffet for this little guy,..and for his steady hand.    Murray - aka Birdman - tells me that over the years a pair of Boreal Chickadees have become regular visitors to their backyard feeder.   -That’s because they get fed VERY well .. raw beef fat and chopped unsalted peanuts.    In his words:  “my hand was truly greaced by this little jewel”.    After the little guy ate some seeds – he gave Murray a peck as if to say: “next time serve the beef fat!”.

DID YOU KNOW?    The Boreal Chickadee is one of the few birds living completely within the northern boreal forests of Canada and the United States.    A group of chickadees are collectively known as a “banditry” and a “dissimulation” of chickadees.
