Opening the evening
A window to the world in the west. Don including the streetlights adds another dimension to Mother Nature’s sensational sunset in early August. “Incredible sky formation looking west from Clarkdale Meadows in Sherwood Park. Leland Drive is in the foreground.”
DID YOU KNOW? Sherwood Park (in Strathcona County) was first established in 1954/55 on farmland that belonged to the Smeltzer family. A few years ago the head count was about 62,000 and that means it has enough people to be Alberta’s 7th largest city, but technically it has the status of a hamlet. Having said that, the Government of Alberta recognizes the Sherwood Park Urban Service Area as ’equivalent to a city’.
