Bonnie Raitt will headline the 2012 Edmonton Folk Music Festival.

It was a big day for Folk Fest fans Wednesday as this year’s lineup was revealed.

Legendary songstress Bonnie Raitt, Canadian icon Jim Cuddy, and country music legend Emylou Harris will take to the main stage.

Organizers have been rallying for Raitt to perform for 23 years.

If you plan on standing in the infamous line at the festival office, tickets go on sale Friday, June 1st at 9 AM.

You’ll have to wait until 10 Am if you prefer to get your tickets online or on the phone though.

No matter how you secure a spot, the coutdown is on! The 32nd Edmonton Folk Music Festival runs August 9th to 12th at Gallagher park.
