05 14 Arrested development
The Bluth family is back and as dysfunctional as ever!

Finally a trailer has been released for season four of “Arrested Development”.

In the new trailer everyone looks a little bit older, as you’d expect. (But we doubt they’re any wiser.)

15 new episodes of “Arrested Development” arrive simultaneously on May 26th. To get around the limited availability of the cast, each episode will focus on a single character.

The sitcom will go live in all territories where Netflix is available.

04 29 EMA

City and Breakfast Television were host to some of Edmonton’s finest musicians Sunday night.

The Command Sisters are no strangers to BT. They not only performed, but took home an award for “Underage Recording Of The Year” at the third annual Edmonton Music Awards.

I was honoured to present a couple awards and our own Bridget Ryan hosted the night at the Royal Alberta Museum.

Getting to a few of the big wins: Corb Lund took home three awards including Male Artist Of The Year and People’s Choice Award.

Folk-rock foursome Wool On Wolves accepted two awards including Album Of The Year.

R&B Singer Nuela Charles, also a double winner, was named Female Singer and recogonized for R&B Recording Of The Year.

Rap album Mitchmatic also won Single of the Year for “Why Don’t You Know?” (Love the music video. Check it out here.)

The music video of the night though: The Facebook Song by BuckNKD. Not a family-friendly song, but hilarious nonetheless.

04 04 Gatsby

We’ve all heard of it and most have read it. (Except me. This brand new trailer for “The Great Gatsby” serves as another reminder that I’m running out of time to read the book before the movie hits theatres May 10th.) The adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s 1925 novel stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan, Isla Fisher, Joel Edgerton, and Jason Clarke.  Check out the trailer that features the music of Beyonce, Andre 3000, Florence and the Machine, and Lana Del Rey.

03 04 Grown Ups 2

Remember Grown Ups? Whether you’re groaning or cheering (and a lot of people will be cheering; the first film grossed $271 million in 2010), Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock and David Spade are back together for Grown Ups 2.

In the sequel, the four childhood best friends move back to their hometown. This time around, the grown-ups are the ones learning lessons from their kids on a day notoriously full of surprises: the last day of school. The trailer also shows a few new players: Andy Samberg (who plays a male cheerleader in a bikini car wash), Shaquille O’Neal, and Taylor Lautner (yes, the one from Twilight).

Grown Ups 2 is due in theaters July 12, 2013, but you can check out the new trailer here.

“Star Trek Into Darkness” is due out May 16th.

03 18 Beyonce

Bow down, Beyonce fans.

Sunday night, seemingly out of the blue, the 31-year-old Grammy winner posted a picture of a young Beyoncé to her Instagram with a link to her website. Surrounded by the pictures: a Soundcloud player streaming a new song, “Bow Down/I Been On”. Listen to it here.

A stark contrast to the girl power hits she churns out, a couple of the lyrics: “Bow down b******” and “I took some time to live my life, but don’t think I’m just his little wife.” (Which might silence critics who blasted her for naming her upcoming tour “The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour”.)
