Jamaican-Me crazy Arlene!

“I now pronounce you man and wife”.    Arlene was on this beach in Jamaica.    Beaming with pride, she’s now Mother-In-Law of the bride.        This could pass for a postcard:  “Enjoyed a beautiful week in Jamaica May 9th to 13th for my son’s wedding.   This was our last sunset on May 12th.   Can’t wait to return – what an absolutely gorgeous country!”

 A deadly mix of speed and alcohol have been determined as the cause for Jackass star Ryan Dunn’s car crash.

Investigators also confirmed the toxicology results that show his blood-alcohol content was 0.196, 2.5 times over the state’s legal limit of 0.08.

Dunn had been in trouble with the law numerous times for driving related offences. Pennsylvania court records show the reality star had at least 23 driving infractions over the last 13 years from six different counties, among them citations for speeding and careless driving, driving an unregistered vehicle, and driving without a license.

There are reports he was busted for DUI in 2005. The charges were dismissed once he completed probation and had his license suspended for a year.

The impact of Monday’s deadly crash was so violent an autopsy conducted by the Chester County Coroner’s Office couldn’t determine if the 34-year-old and his 30-year-old pal, Zachary Hartwell, died as a result of  blunt-force trauma or the fire that engulfed the vehicle.

A private funeral for Dunn is scheduled for Wednesday.

Take a bunch of testosterone-fueled jocks, all of them trying to impress just one girl, and put them in a ring to try out Thai kickboxing for the first time…against each other. What could possibly go wrong?

If you ask Ames, one of the contestants on The Bachelorette (Monday, 9pm, Citytv), he’d probably have no idea what you’re talking about. The prototypical “good guy” fell victim to a flurry of punches, sustaining a concussion (but securing a rose and at least another week with Ashley) in the process.

I had to ask our BT Bachelorette panelists whether a hackjob amateur kickboxing win would win their hearts. They also chimed in on William’s backstabbing karma and what’s still to come in Ashley’s search for love. Check out the video link below for more.

Good Lord! The ending of last night’s episode of the Bachelorette drove me up the wall! I have given a name to my pain and it is “Bentley”. This is video proof that girls are attracted to douche bags. I hope that Ashley watches these episodes and feels just as played as the rest of the world thinks she is…. er, Go JP!

Swallow hideout

If you build it .. they will come!  (Here’s proof)    Here is a Tree Swallow happy as a clam in a nest box.    Lynda is the one with the sharp eye who saw .. maybe a flash of blue!   Lynda writes:  “This little one lives out beside Cucumber Lake, not far from Willingdon, Alberta“.    For  Tree Swallows it’s all about location location location.    Not only do they love nest boxes, but prefer to live near water … to snag those delicious flying insects.

DID YOU KNOW?    Tree Swallows are hardy, clever little birds!    They can catch and eat insects while in flight.    But since they are the first swallows to return to the Great White North in the spring — they will switch to eating berries.    And that’s exactly why they are able to migrate earlier and travel further north than any other swallow.

Remember the drama surrounding Ed Helm’s face tattoo in “The Hangover Part II”?

Well it’s staying put!

Artist S. Victor Whitmill tattooed his trademarked design on Mike Tyson’s face in 2003.

Whitmill slapped Warner Bros. with a lawsuit for using it without his permission. Originally the studio planned to digitally alter the tattoo in the film for DVD release, but the two parties struck a deal after an all-day mediation in St. Louis on Friday.

No details of the settlement have been released and it looks like they never will be, as Whitmill’s attorney said:
“Warner Bros. and Mr. Whitmill have amicably resolved their dispute. No other information will be provided.”

The film has grossed $500 million and counting. It’s probably safe to safe Whitmill walked away with a whole pile of cash.
