Watch Say What?! every morning at 6:40am!

Forget the beautiful transition of Edmonton’s river valley from shades of green to gold and brown. Never mind the crisp, autumn air. The most exciting part of this time of year for millions of hockey fans is “puck drop” on a new NHL season!

We’ve teamed up once again with Wayne Wagner at Wayne’s Sports Cards & Collectables to present the second-annual BT Hockey Pool. We’ve also invited the folks at www.poolexpert.com to join us in making this season’s competition even more challenging, exciting and easier to follow than last year!

To enter, simply click here. Complete the basic registration form (it takes 30 seconds) and then choose your team. It’s that easy! You’ll need to choose from pre-determined player groups – your team will include three forwards at each position, three defencemen and a goalie. Scoring is simple – total points for skaters, wins and shutouts for goalies.

Be sure to tune into BT Wednesday morning at 6:50 for the unveiling of this year’s spectacular prize pack. Also new this year as an added bonus – we’ll be giving away a special prize to whoever’s leading the pool at the NHL All Star break.

Don’t delay your entry – you’ve got until this Thursday (October 1st) at 4:30pm MST to register. We’ll update the standings on BT the first Monday of each month. Good luck…now let’s drop the puck already!

It’s fall… the most beautiful time of the year. If you feel like you need to shake up your ol’ wardrobe and some helpful hints from the ladies over on 124 Street, and your willing to have your dirty laundry aired….(literally and figuratively) we could be seeing a whole new YOU next month during our MAKE OVER MONDAY!

Stories ( and pics) can be submitted below. I’m going to go home this afternoon and look for some fashion disaster photo’s of myself to really kick it off! Go on…BE BRAVE!!

Do not, under any circumstances, leave a two year old alone in a bathroom.

Especially not one with a door that locks.

After 20 minutes of pleading and begging, we finally reconciled ourselves to the fact that Coco was not going to unlock the door herself. This was WAY too funny, with Mummy and Daddy trapped outside.

One Karate kick to the door…

And one pricey trip to Home Depot…

 And we have learned a very valuable lesson!

Yesterday, Ryan Jespersen and I ‘pinky-swore’ we would never surprise each other for each others birthday. Well, well, well. Not even a full 24 hours into the ‘pinky-swear’ , i got the surprise of all surprises for my birthday. APPARENTLY i needed to ‘pinky-swear’ with Jason Carter and Barb Atamaniuk and Greg and RYAN and everybody else…even the KUHLMAN’S got involved!!

Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart!!

They put the “them” in Rock Anthem. We caught up with the axemen from legendary British group Def Leppard just moments after they announced an Edmonton addition to their world tour. Mark October 31 on your calendar, superfans!

So on today’s show, Ryan, Jason Carter and I headed into the kitchen sans chef to try our own hand at dessert! Ryan found this sweet little recipe for CUPCAKE HAMBURGERS…and we had an absolute blast making them and perhaps even more fun eating them, as there is not a lick of meat in them!! 100% PASTRY GOODNESS!!

When it comes to hockey talk, there’s nobody more “in the know” than TSN’s Bob McKenzie. The so-called “Hockey Insider” has built his rock-solid reputation breaking trades and transactions year after year, covering junior, NHL and international hockey stories - and now, sharing his own personal experiences as a “crazy hockey parent” (Bob’s words, not mine).

We welcomed Bob into studio to chat about his new book, “Hockey Dad – True Confessions Of A (Crazy?) Hockey Parent.” Of course, we couldn’t let him escape without sharing his thoughts on this year’s edition of the Edmonton Oilers…and my own “fantasy” hockey team, the CFHL’s Hanna Haymakers.

All this typing, and I still haven’t explained my blog headline. I guess you’ll just have to click on the video link below and sort it out yourself…
